📋 Overview

Tile-IQ ("we", "our", or "the app") is a score tracking application for 101 Okey, Classic Okey, and Rummikub tile games. We are committed to protecting your privacy. This policy explains what data is collected, why, and how it is handled. The same policy applies to the app whether it is downloaded from the APP STORE or the GOOGLE PLAY.

📦 Data We Collect

Tile-IQ does not require account registration and does not store any data on external servers controlled by us.

All game data (player names you type in, scores, game history, achievements) is stored locally on your device only using SQLite, SharedPreferences, and the platform's secure storage (Android Keystore on Android, Keychain on iOS). This data never leaves your device.

The following data may be collected by third-party SDKs integrated in the app:

• Google AdMob — displays advertisements. AdMob may collect advertising identifiers (the Android Advertising ID on Android, or the IDFA on iOS — only after you grant permission via the App Tracking Transparency prompt), device information, and approximate location to serve relevant ads. This is governed by Google's Privacy Policy.
• Google Play Billing (Android) — processes in-app subscription purchases on Android. Payment and billing information is handled entirely by Google Play and is governed by Google Play Terms of Service. We do not receive or store any payment details.
• Apple In-App Purchase (iOS) — processes in-app subscription purchases on iOS. Payment and billing information is handled entirely by Apple and is governed by the Apple Media Services Terms. We do not receive or store any payment details.

🔒 Data We Do NOT Collect

• We do not collect your name, email address, or any personal identifiers.
• We do not use analytics SDKs (no Firebase Analytics, no Crashlytics, no Mixpanel).
• We do not share any data with third parties beyond the SDKs listed above.
• We do not sell your data.
• We do not access your contacts, camera, microphone, precise location, or background location.

📱 Local Storage

Tile-IQ stores the following data locally on your device:

• Game history and scores (SQLite database)
• App preferences such as sound settings and language selection (SharedPreferences / UserDefaults)
• Subscription status — whether ads have been removed (encrypted secure storage: Android Keystore / iOS Keychain)

This data is only accessible to the app and is deleted when you uninstall the application.

🔐 Permissions We Request

• Internet & Network state — to load advertisements and verify subscription status.
• Photo library "add only" (iOS) — only triggered when you explicitly tap "Save PDF to Gallery" on a score card.
• Storage (Android < 10) — only when sharing a generated PDF on legacy Android versions.
• App Tracking Transparency (iOS 14.5+) — to enable personalised advertising. Optional. You may decline; ads will still be shown but not personalised.

💳 In-App Purchases & Subscriptions

Tile-IQ offers an optional monthly subscription ("Remove Ads") processed through Google Play Billing on Android and Apple In-App Purchase on iOS. We do not collect or store any payment or billing information. All transactions are handled securely by Google or Apple.

Subscriptions can be managed or cancelled at any time through your Google Play account settings (Android) or your Apple ID subscription settings (iOS).

📢 Advertising

The free version of Tile-IQ displays advertisements provided by Google AdMob. AdMob may use cookies and similar technologies to serve personalised ads based on your interests. You can opt out of personalised advertising in your device settings:

• Android: Settings → Google → Ads → Opt out of Ads Personalisation
• iOS: Settings → Privacy & Security → Tracking → revoke permission for Tile-IQ

Users who purchase the "Remove Ads" subscription will not see any advertisements.

👶 Children's Privacy

Tile-IQ is not directed at children under the age of 13. We do not knowingly collect personal information from children. If you believe a child has provided us with personal information, please contact us and we will take steps to delete such information.

🌍 International Users & GDPR

If you are located in the European Economic Area (EEA), you have certain rights under the General Data Protection Regulation (GDPR), including the right to access, rectify, or erase personal data. Since we do not collect personal data directly, these rights primarily apply to data collected by Google AdMob, Google Play, and Apple. Please refer to Google's and Apple's privacy controls for exercising these rights.
